Merrill Gardens at Lafayette opened in the fall of 2014 and includes over 6,000 square feet of retail space with a public plaza facing the primary boulevard through town. Merril Gardens provides underground resident & public parking, allowing for a easily accessible space. At over 129,000 square feet, the residential component of this mixed use project provides 72 units housing 85 residents. Our design was the winner of the 2013 NAHB 50+ Innovation Award and won Silver for Best Mixed Use community.
The building massing, materials and color help differentiate between the more public retail, and private residential use. The large public courtyard provides amenities for the retail users, residents, and organized community gatherings.
