Where it all started.
Wattenbarger Architects was founded in 1980 and focused exclusively on living environments for older adults, with experience designing for the entire continuum of care. Over the last 43 years, we have designed over 16,000 units of senior housing, from independent to assisted, Alzheimer's care and skilled, including Continuing Care Retirement Communities. We've designed projects in 19 states - from Florida to New York, in the Midwest to the Southwest and, of course, the West Coast and Hawaii. While Seniors Housing still represents our primary area of expertise, Wattenbarger Architects has expanded its focus to include multifamily residential and mixed-use design.
